Rattlesnake Creek National Recreation Area, Montana
The Rattlesnake National Recreation Area is just north of Missoula, Montana. While it’s one of the most popular spots in Missoula for hiking and mountain biking, it never feels all that crowded to me. The main trail follows Rattlesnake Creek through the forest. Autumn is fantastic for photography. I especially appreciate the visual textures of the land and vegetation.
